Southern California Games Workshop League is proud to present So Cal Slaughter 5. The So Cal Slaughter is a Independent Grand Tournament which places an emphasis on promoting game play and sportsmanship in a competitive setting. First and foremost we want to encourage the hobby as a whole. We want everyone bringing nothing short of a gentleman’s attitude to the event. We also expect everyone to show an in-depth knowledge of the rules and to act accordingly. We understand a big part of the game in the army list creation and we encourage competitive lists. The Slaughter promotes an opportunity for many of the gamers in the community to meet and play games agianst all different types of players. The most important rule is to have fun and hopefully enjoy a few good laughs. Remember at the end of the day we are grown men/women pushing little army men around and rolling dice.
The Slaughter continues Games Workshop search for a national champion. Like in previous year’s, the “Overall” and “Best general” will be awarded with an invitation “Golden Ticket” to the Nationals in Las Vegas in the summer of 2012. So there are two ways for each participant to earn a “Golden ticket” the first is to win Overall. The second way is to win best general which is to accumulate the highest battle points (no other “soft scores” figure into this).
